“Kate has been our first choice for writing and producing incisive and clear copy to tight deadlines for many years now. Her editing and proof reading is excellent. She consistently improves whatever we give her, and produces effective and original text for our web presence and other publicity.
“She communicates clearly and concisely, coming up with good approaches and alternatives – making our lives a whole lot easier by fielding e mails, filtering requests, publicising shows and projects, connecting with media outlets and journalists, and contributing intelligently to creative ideas and conversations – and all with patience and good humour. “ Jon Beedell, Artistic Director, Desperate Men (leading outdoor arts company & artistic directors for large-scale outdoor events including the award-winning Wye Valley River Festival).
Kate has 15 years experience in communications, first as a news and features journalist and then as a consultant and copywriter specialising in arts and environmental organisations.
Her adventures in communications have spanned everything from selling the 500-odd fantastical, radical and sometimes astonishing events of the Brighton Fringe to audiences, journalists and sponsors to live-tweeting a 24-hour public wildlife survey from a Bristol conservation park. This range of experience, and her openness to taking the road less travelled, means she brings an original perspective to creative projects. She is also expert at translating technical subjects into engaging content.
Kate is experienced in copywriting for websites, email, social media campaigns, case studies and blogs and in evaluating coverage using tools including Google Analytics. Previous clients include Desperate Men, Brighton Fringe, Zap Art, the RSPCA, Social Farms & Gardens, Bristol Festival of Nature and Goodwood. Get in touch to find out more.
